    3.The Huns then imprisoned Su Wu in a cavern, denying him any food or drink. Su Wu would rather have eaten snow and matted wool than surrender.

    4.后来,匈奴又把苏武流放到荒无人烟的地方放羊。没有粮食,苏武就捉野鼠吃草籽充饥;没有人做伴,苏武就与羊儿说话。
    4. Su Wu was later exiled to the remote and cold area near the North Sea to tend sheep. When hungry, Su Wu was forced to catch field mice or eat grass; the sheep were his only company.

    5.十九年以后,苏武终于回到了汉朝,这时他的胡须头发全都白了。他坚贞不屈的精神却被后代所传颂。
    5. Nineteen years later, Su Wu was finally released. When he returned to his native land, his hair and beard had turned completely white.
